We seek an experienced Operation Manager to lead and oversee all aspects import & Export operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating logistics and documentation, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and optimizing costs.
Responsibilities
  • Be familiar with customs import and export policies, especially regulations related to valuables, watches, jewelry, diamonds, etc., and keep internal company policies updated.
  • Ensure the company's import and export operations comply with customs policies and relevant legal requirements.
  • Be proficient in sea, land, and air transport, international trade, and related operations, and independently propose solutions for the company's import and export needs.
  • Coordinate customs declaration, clearance, inspection, and quarantine, and assist customs in inspecting and clearing import/export goods.
  • Review documents and handle necessary permits for import/export controls (e.g., applying for CITES import/export permits, quarantine permits for animals and plants).
  • Liaise with customs, commodity inspection, and other regulatory authorities to resolve issues during import/export processes and maintain positive external relationships.
  • Adhere to company rules and safety procedures to ensure cargo security during transportation.
  • Collaborate with customer service to integrate data and conduct regular policy training sessions.
  • Update costs and process reimbursements in accordance with the finance department's requirements.
  • Work with the General Manager to control operational and related costs while providing feasible solutions.
  • Actively comply with requirements from the company, clients, suppliers, superiors, or other stakeholders, and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in import/export customs affairs, and willingness to travel for business.
  • Proficient in local customs regulations and import/export trade processes (including application for import/export qualifications, customs declaration, clearance, freight, foreign exchange settlement, insurance inspection, etc.).
  • Proficient in business English, with fluency in both written and spoken communication.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication and independent problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing customs-related solutions.
  • Clean record, demonstrating honesty, discretion, teamwork, and quick learning ability.
